SOME HISTORY ABOUT GREYHOUNDS
Greyhounds, originally being bred as hunting companions to noblemen, are an ancient breed of dog dating back more than 4,000 years. Their elegant physical form can be seen gracing the walls of tombs in ancient Egypt. They are considered the fastest breed of dog and are capable of reaching speeds of up to 40 mph. For centuries they hunted by outrunning their prey. Greyhounds are unique, possessing both the body of an athlete and the grace of a dancer. They run like the wind and truly are ‘poetry in motion.’
